We are delighted to share this blog post from the Junior Leaders Course 19 Expedition to Ghana.  This team of outstanding young people has made such a difference to the small rural community of Obom and should be extremely proud of all that they have achieved.

Three weeks ago the Air Cadet Junior Leaders Expedition Team left for Ghana with the goal of continuing to support the rural village of Obom. Last year's team completed a primary school for the community and this year the team faced the challenging task of digging and completing foundations for a Junior High School in extreme temperatures and humidity.
The team worked extremely hard and with the support of the local charity 'Village by Village' not only completed the foundations to floor level but they also managed to decorate the creche.

The team were both moved and delighted on the final day of work to learn that the Junior High School would receive a very special name on completion....
A fitting tribute to both JT and the amazing opportunities that the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation is creating for children & young people across the world..

It is our greatest pleasure to unveil the foundations of
