/A voyage with the Tall Ships Trust
A 14-year old boy from Bournemouth has been awarded with a Summer Academy Voyage with The Tall Ships Trust.
He’ll spend four nights along with his crew mates learning all the basics of sailing to achieve the RYA Start Yachting certificate. Activities during the voyage are physically and mentally challenging, covering all aspects of working and living together in a small community at sea.
The young team are in charge in the vessel 24/7 and will learn all about sailing, navigation, weather, safety at sea, cooking, cleaning, repairing and maintenance.
They’ll be setting sail from Portsmouth, cruising around the Solent and visiting ports all along the south coast.
