A pupil from Ferndown Middle School is set to pursue her dreams of becoming a future badminton champion.
She currently trains and plays for the Dorset County Badminton Squad, as well as various other sports such as tennis, netball and football.
She has represented Dorset in the under 11 squad at Avon and also Cornwall and has now moved to the under 13 squad.
The JTYAF is proud to help her to achieve her dreams of competing for the county in more tournaments.
The JTYAF supports young people from a wide range of youth organisations providing them with scholarships and bursaries to support their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions.
The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008.
The JTYAF provides opportunities for young people to help them to develop as individuals and fulfil their ambitions in life as John was able to do.
