The Bournemouth & Mousehole Male Voice Choirs performing at St Mary's Church

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation was honoured to be chosen as the recipient charity for a Concert by two superb British Men's Choirs.

The Bournemouth Male Voice Choir teamed up with the Mousehole Male Voice Choir for a concert at St Mary's Church in Ferndown. It was a fantastic evening which raised an incredible £1481!

St Mary's Church was full to bursting for this wonderfully diverse programme. Beautiful harmonies, professional soloists and a spectacular venue captivated the audience who enjoyed a sensational performance by two very talented choirs. The retiring collection alone received an incredible £510 in donations which is testimony itself to a great evening. A huge thank you to all those who contributed.

The photo above shows Gerry Ramsden, right, presenting the 'big' cheque to JTYAF Chairman, Pete Thornton. Gerry nominated the charity for consideration so we are extremely grateful to him for this support.

We can't thank the members of the choirs enough for all the work that went into ensuring that this event was such a success and our thanks must also go to all those involved behind the scenes. £1481 will make a really big difference to a great many young people's lives
