Bursaries Support DofE Expedition Costs

The JTYAF was delighted to award bursaries to eight students at Poole High School to help with the cost of essential equipment for their Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award Expedition.

The students are all aged 16 years and the majority of them will use their awards to purchase waterproof coats and hiking boots.

Taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme is a life-changing experience. It provides an incredible opportunity to discover new interests and talents and develop essential skills for life and work. It is an extremely well recognised mark of achievement, respected by employers.

The JTYAF is proud to partner the scheme and we look forward to hearing all about the adventures of these eight young people.
