The 7th JTYAF Companion Dog Show was kindly organised by Nicky Smith, Pam Rutley and Barbara Astle and took place at West Parley Memorial Hall on Saturday 29th September.

The sun was shining and we had a great turn out raising over £300 for John’s Foundation.

Our thanks go to Nicky, Pam and Barbara as without their help it just wouldn’t happen. Thanks must also go to the cadets from the 2358 (Ferndown) Air Training Corps who helped with everything from setting up to car parking and to our many JTYAF volunteers who were crucial to the success of the day.

Oscars Dog Foods offered their continued support by sponsoring the event and we were grateful to LV, Jolliffes and Pet’s Corner for their kind donations for our raffle.

The event was however shrouded in sadness. David Smith, who had helped organise the dog show for many years, lost his battle with cancer just before the event and he was remembered with a minutes silence on the day.
