DofE Awards for local young people

A number of local young people are taking on their Duke of Edinburgh Awards this year.

The awards consist of a volunteering section, physical section, expedition and skills section.

A determined young person is working towards her silver Duke of Edinburgh Award by taking part in a qualifying expedition in Dartmoor.

A member of Corfe Mullen Youth Club is working towards his bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award by volunteering at a local Cub group, taking part in a young leaders course and also using his skill at computer programming.

Another young person is completing a lifesaving course at Purbeck Sports Centre as part of his DofE skills section towards his silver award.
