Two students from Ferndown Upper School received JTYAF bursaries earlier this year to help them to buy new ice skates to develop their figure skating and progress to a higher level in their skating exams.

We recently had some feedback from them and were delighted that their awards have helped them to develop so much. This is what they told us.

These ice skates, test fees and deposit for the skate camp, was so helpful and has got me up 2 more NISA Ice skating levels.

With my bursary I have managed to pay for a new pair of figure skates that are more advanced and suitable to the level of figure skating I’m currently at. As well as this, I am extremely grateful for this contribution to my figure skating lessons which have enabled me to complete grades 1-7 out of 8. The opportunity … enables students like myself to thrive in a specific area and for this they deserve a huge thank you.
