JTYAF Award for Talented Mountain Bike Racer
/The JTYAF is proud to announce the awarding of a bursary to an exceptionally talented 14-year-old downhill mountain bike racer. This young athlete has consistently demonstrated his skills, securing numerous podium finishes at regional races. In both 2023 and 2024, he was crowned National 4X Champion and Dual Slalom Champion, competing against some of the best racers in his age group across the country.
Kicking off 2025 with a bang, he clinched first place in his category (Youth age 14-16) at the 100% Mini Downhill event in the Forest of Dean this January. Out of 81 riders in his category, he emerged victorious, and impressively, he placed 5th overall out of 258 riders on the day. What an incredible start to the year!
The JTYAF has proudly contributed towards his British Cycling race fees for his National events in 2025 and is excited to support him in his ambition to race at the highest level as part of a World Cup team. We're thrilled to be part of his journey and can't wait to see what he achieves next!
