JTYAF - Finalist in Soldiering on Awards

The Soldiering On Awards 2024 finalists have been revealed and the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation has been selected as one of the three finalists for the Family Values Award!

Family Values Award – in partnership with Right Management

An Award to honour a person, family or group whose selfless commitment, dedication and support for others in the Armed Forces Community ensures that they are cared for, supported or helped. This selfless act is therefore a shining example to society.

• John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation

• Military Coworking Network

• Lt Col Georgie Symonds

Here at the JTYAF we were absolutely honoured to be nominated for these awards and to be selected as a finalist is quite honestly overwhelming. To have our work recognised by our Military Family is a wonderful tribute to all that’s been achieved in John’s memory.

Now in their 14th year, the Soldiering On Awards celebrate excellence within the Armed Forces community across twelve distinct categories, ranging from Family Values to Business Start-Up and Animal Partnership.

Leading the selection process, Co-Chairs of Judges Lt Gen (Ret’d) Richard Nugee CB CVO CBE and Debra Allcock-Tyler, CEO of the Directory of Social Change, guided a distinguished panel of independent judges. They meticulously selected 36 finalists from an exceptional pool of nominees, with three finalists chosen for each category. The JTYAF being chosen for Family Values.

The JTYAF Trustees are to be congratulated for their determination and commitment to the charity over the last 16 years. They work tirelessly to ensure that John’s Foundation makes a truly important difference to young people’s lives, supporting them to achieve their ambitions, whatever they may be.
