Junior Leaders Course XVII Raises £16,000 for the JTYAF!
/Our congratulations to all the Air Cadet Junior Leaders who successfully completed Test Phase on Course XVII and graduated as Qualified Junior Leaders at RAF Honington. The Air Cadet Junior Leaders Course is one of the toughest but most rewarding of the Cadet’s leadership courses. Any Cadet that makes it through has the makings of a very successful leader. The course requires over a hundred hours of planning and a high degree of physical fitness. The successful students are allowed to wear a special DZ flash on their uniforms.
The Air Cadets on Junior Leaders Course XVII have also made an exceptional effort with their fundraising activities for the JTYAF raising over £16,000!
As part of their assessment the Junior Leaders were tasked with organising a fundraising event for the JTYAF. They took on virtually every conceivable challenge you could imagine from Skydives to Busking, 100K Cycles, Half Marathons and even a 48 hour ISO Container Challenge! £16,000 is an incredible achievement and takes the total amount raised by Junior Leaders since 2010 to an unbelievable £95,000!!
The support of the Junior Leaders Course has repeatedly played a key role in the success of the charity and helped the JTYAF to make a difference to the lives of over 1000 young people. We are are continually inspired by the the dedication and commitment of these outstanding young people.
