Parkstone Squadron Air Cadets - Vietnam Expedition
/Ten cadets from 2391 (Parkstone) Squadron Air Training Corps are taking part in an expedition to Vietnam, proudly supported by the JTYAF.
They have already toured Saigon, visited the Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta and will be heading for Hanoi and north Vietnam where they will take on the challenge of Fan Si Pan, the highest mountain peak in the Indochina Peninsula at 3143 metres!
This truly life changing expedition will give them the opportunity to experience many challenges in this unique environment. They will have the chance to go canoeing, sea kayaking, rock climbing and mountain trekking but by far the toughest challenge will be attempting to summit Fan Si Pan which will really push them physically and mentally. They will also develop an understanding of the culture and traditions of the local tribes as they travel through rural areas and villages.
We wish them every success and look forward to hearing more about their achievements on their return.
