Take Four - Bournemouth Sea Cadets
/It's the first year that the JTYAF has supported Bournemouth Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets and we have recently received four applications for funding from them.
- One of the Sea Cadets is going to be taking a trip to HMS Raleigh where he will undertake training in fire fighting, sea survival, drill and personal management skills.
- Offshore voyages are on the agenda for two of the Sea Cadets, where they’ll experience the most exhilarating and unique of challenges. Whether it’s hoisting the sail of a yacht as part of a crew or navigating in a powered craft, nothing compares to the feeling of being out at sea, right there in the elements.
- Another young man is taking a course in Caledonia to gain RYA Level 1 & 2 in Power Boating which will support his development and help him to progress within the Sea Cadets. He aims to join the Navy as an engineer and the JTYAF is delighted to support him.
We look forward to hearing all about the achievements of these four young men and wish them every success with the endeavours.
