Thank You to Paul & Alam for a Top Curry Night

We can’t thank Paul and Alam enough for their continued support.

Paul recently organised his 7th JTYAF Curry Night at the Cinnamon Indian Restaurant in Ferndown and what a great night it was.  Alam and his team were excellent, and the food was, as always, absolutely delicious.  Even though we were a very large group the service was top drawer, and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Paul was the perfect host, and we held a raffle and an auction to help with the fundraising.  We’ve received some lovely feedback, so the evening was definitely a big success on all fronts.

We were extremely grateful to Will and Hunt Forest Group, Wessex Country Gammons, Steve, Rachel from Beauty Above, and the Purbeck Powerlifting Club, who donated some fabulous prizes for the auction.

The raffle was also possible thanks to donations from Alam, Lulworth Skipper Cider (pictured above), Boots Ferndown, Rock Reef Bournemouth, Go Ape, Moors Valley, Knoll Gardens, FTY Lab, Wimborne Model Town, Farmer Palmers and Pets Corner Ferndown.  The prizes created a lot of interest and together with a donation from Cobra Beer which was organised by Alam, the evening raised an amazing £779.

Our guests were the best too.  The continued support that we receive from Ferndown & Parley Rotary Club and the Bournemouth Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets, really helps to ensure that our events are a success.

Paul is a legend and a great friend of the JTYAF. He has now raised £6766 for John’s Foundation, with 7 Curry Nights and the 4 Fly-Fishing days.  The funds raised will make an enormous difference to the opportunities that we can provide for local young people in the year ahead.

If you want to join us for Paul’s ever popular fishing day, check out our event page for the JTYAF Fly Fishing Event on 22nd June.  Paul does a mean BBQ too.
