The Collins Skydive Team raises over £3000
/The spark for this event was when Steve Collins of Collins Catering Services surprised his wife Jo with a booking to 'Jump with the Tigers!' He knew a Skydive was pretty high up on her bucket list and at his company Christmas party in 2014 he announced that Jo was going to jump from a perfectly serviceable aeroplane at 13000 feet and intended to raise funds for the JTYAF. Steve's enthusiasm had soon encouraged Honor Heath, Jackie Doran and Paul and Jake Jacobs to join Jo and form the Skydive Team 'Collins Catering Collective.' This formidable group of fearless individuals took part in a Tandem Skydive with the Tigers Parachute Display Team on 2nd August and enjoyed every minute.
It didn't end there though. Steve was on a mission to raise as much money as possible for the JTYAF and his three extremely talented daughters, Ria, Evie and Beth offered to entertain the residents where Steve provided his catering services in order to boost the funds. Their performances were very popular and their beautiful voices attracted a huge amount of fundraising support. Combined with the efforts of Honor, Jackie, Paul and Jacob an incredible total of £3000 was raised by the team. This was an amazing achievement and will make a massive difference to the lives of many local young people.
We can't thank these guys enough. They took on a massive challenge and put an incredible amount of effort into their fundraising bringing the total for this event to £6000!
Our thanks must go to Steve, Jo and their daughters, Ria, Evie and Beth together with Honor, Jackie, Paul and Jake and all the residents whose kindness and generosity made such a great contribution to this total.
