Air Cadet Junior Leaders Awards 2014
/The JTYAF funding awarded to the Air Cadets Junior Leaders Course in 2014 will support two projects and benefit ten Qualified Junior Leaders (QJLs) from Course XV. The selection of the successful applicants was based on the quality of their application combined with their performance on the course. The Kenya project is now unfortunately cancelled as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all but essential travel to the area. The Air Cadet Junior Leaders Staff are currently working on an alternative expedition for the seven QJL's affected and we will post an update as soon as we have details.
The four QJL's selected for the expedition to Nepal will undertake the huge physical challenge of trekking to the Everest Base Camp. They will also have the privilege of experiencing the life of a ‘Ghurka Soldier’ from selection to retirement.
