The Air Cadets Junior Leaders Course is physically demanding and requires real commitment and determination. The course, which runs from September to Easter, involves nine weekend training camps and an assessment week. The successful participants are awarded a Level Two Certificate in Team Leadership from the Institute of Leadership and Management and as part of their assessment they are tasking with planning a fundraising event for the JTYAF.

The Junior Leaders on the 2019 course have organised an enormous variety of fundraising events, from skydives, to leg waxing, and many have taken on extremely tough physical challenges, with hundreds of miles cycled, walked, climbed, and run.

The cadet in the pictures above organised a quiz night which alone raised an amazing £440 and his leg wax raised an additional £250.
