Bursaries for Bournemouth Sea Cadets

The JTYAF has supported 3 young people from Bournemouth Sea Cadets in recent months. Two Cadets will be taking part in an Off-Shore Sailing Course where they will gain their ‘RYA Start Sailing,’ and ‘Off-Shore Grade 1’ qualifications together with an ‘Introduction to Leading a Watch’ and ‘Competent Crew.’ Both youngsters have ambitions to join the Royal Navy and this course will help to set them on the path to achieving their dreams.

A third Cadet is taking on the ‘Off-shore Power Boat Course,’ aboard the TS Jack Petchey, the Sea Cadet power vessel . This young man aims to progress to Power Boat Instructor and this course will be the perfect starting point for him.
