National Scout and Guide Youth Symphony Orchestra for Christchurch Scout

A 16 year old musician from Christchurch Scouts has received a bursary to support her attendance for a week at the National Scout and Guide Youth Symphony Orchestra in Birmingham.  A great opportunity for this talented cellist to experience intense rehearsals, workshops, master-classes and sectional tuition. She’ll be working with a team of professional conductors and tutors developing her creative talents and having fun along the way.

The course concludes with a concert in the  prestigious concert hall at Birmingham University, showcasing the musical talents of Scouting and Girlguiding, with over 160 musicians on stage!

We wish our award winner every success and hope that this experience will provide her with the opportunity to develop as a musician and achieve her ambition of joining the Wessex Youth Orchestra.
