Cricket Mats for Ferndown Wayfarers Youth Cricket Teams

The JTYAF was delighted to support the development of Ferndown Wayfarers Youth Cricket Teams by funding the purchase of mats for their indoor training.

Training in the nets provides a controlled indoor environment not just during the winter, but also for one to one sessions where coaches can focus on key aspects of a player’s game.

Indoor Training provides an opportunity to work on :-

  • Throwing

  • Catching

  • Running

  • Calling

  • Chasing and setting a target

  • Wicketkeeping

  • Reactions in the field

  • Manipulating the ball into gaps.

We look forward to seeing the mats in action.
