The JTYAF is pleased to help a member of the Fire Cadets to begin drumming lessons.
He’s taught himself the basics and has a drum kit at home. His future ambition is to achieve a grade level 8 for drumming and potentially set up a band.
He’s a bright, positive and proactive member of the Dorchester-based Fire Cadets.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008.
The JTYAF provides opportunities for young people to help them to develop as individuals and fulfil their ambitions in life as John was able to do.
