Festive Fun at Sainsbury's raises £2600!
/The JTYAF was privileged to be invited into Sainsbury's Ferndown as their Charity Partner on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.
It was a fantastic three days which really brought the local community together for one great cause - to help local young people.
The charity was supported by more than 20 volunteers over the weekend and had choirs from Ferndown Upper School, Beaucroft Foundation School, Parley First School, 3rd Ferndown Brownies, a Coda Fiddle Ensemble, the Bournemouth Male Voice Choir and No Direction.
Shoppers were treated to some fantastic performances with live Festive music and carols which had them singing along and really getting into the Christmas spirit. One customer commented that 'it was the first time that she'd felt Christmasey'
An incredible £2600 was donated by the customers at Sainsbury's over the weekend which is an amazing amount and testament to the quality of the performances from our supporting choirs and also to the fact that the JTYAF is very close to so many people's hearts.
A huge thank you to Sainsbury's Ferndown, to all our volunteers and choirs and our Coda Fiddle Ensemble. What a fantastic achievement! We had a lot of fun and really can't thank you all enough for your support.
