A young man whose career plan is to join the RAF is one step closer to achieving his ambitions thanks to the JTYAF.  After spending six years in the Air Cadets his ambition to become a pilot in the RAF was set.

We recently received this letter:-

I would just like to say thank you very much again for this incredible chance that you have been able to give me.
I was able to learn the ins and outs of the PA28 Warrior II aircraft and in the first couple of lessons, I was able to go back over some of the things I did with the Air Cadets up in Dundee. In the last 3 lessons, I was learning the circuit course around Compton Abbas, getting better each time until my final lesson where I was able to perfect everything I had learnt before and my instructor was happy to let me do my first solo flight. I was able to a solo circuit of Compton Abbas and progress to the next stage, all thanks to this incredible foundation.
