Poetry in Motion
/Joanna has gained her Gold Duke of Edinburgh award by trekking 60km over 4 days.
She was part of a team with six other girls and had to write poems to express their emotions throughout the weekend's trip.
The expedition helped her to improve her team skills, time management and overall fitness.
Other parts of the Duke of Edinburgh award included:
- Rowing with Weymouth Rowing Club
- Volunteering at Kingston Maurward RSPCA
- Working towards her Grade 8 oboe exam
Joanna hopes to study Geography at university next year so the Duke of Edinburgh will enhance her application.
