A valued Air Cadet from 171 Squadron (Christchurch) Air Training Corps has been awarded funds to travel to the ATC Summer Camp Akrotiri in Cyprus to learn more about a career in the RAF and meet Air Cadets from other wings.
He's been a member for 3 years and hopes to join the RAF as a Pilot after his A Levels.
We wish him the best of luck and hope he enjoys his experience of the military in Cyprus.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was set up in memory of John Thornton who was tragically killed in Afghanistan in 2008.
