Unique Auction Item - A Visit to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
/The JTYAF VIP Hospitality Day at the Bournemouth Air Festival took place on Sunday 5th September, and we were delighted to be able to offer our guests some amazing prizes.
The Silent Auction always creates a lot of interest, and this year was no exception. Our guests were lucky to have the unique opportunity to bid for an exclusive insight into behind-the-scenes at RAF Coningsby and get up close to the iconic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF).
We can’t thank the BBMF at RAF Coningsby enough for this kind and generous donation. It raised a large amount for John’s Foundation which will be directly invested in young people, at a time when they need our support more than ever before.

The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) operates from RAF Coningsby, a Typhoon base in Lincolnshire.
The mission of RAF BBMF is to maintain the priceless artefacts of our national heritage in airworthy condition in order to commemorate those who have fallen in the service of this country, to promote the modern day air force and to inspire the future generations.
The flight operates six Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota, and two Chipmunk aircraft.
The motto of the RAF BBMF reflects their mission and honours the thousands of men and women, in the air and on the ground, that gave their lives for this country in the noble pursuit of freedom.
