We can’t thank the Junior Leaders on Course 21 enough for almost £10,000 that they have raised for John’s Foundation. At this challenging time for charities with events cancelled and fundraising so difficult, the Junior Leaders efforts are more crucial than ever this year.

Morven took part in this year’s Air Cadet Junior Leaders Course and as part of the course organised a fundraiser for John’s Foundation. She absolutely smashed her fundraising target of £250, raising an incredible £866.25.

Our thanks and congratulations to Jacob who completed his half marathon hike in 4 hours, 20 minutes and 17 seconds carrying a 32lb bergen!.

Thomas is raising funds for the JTYAF and Village by Village by having his head shaved! We wish him all the very best for his new look.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was honoured to be selected for support by the three captains of Crane Valley Golf Club

Emma thought the lock down would be a great opportunity to not only concentrate on her fitness but also do something to helps others. She has taken on a ‘Race the World Virtual Challenge - London to Paris’ and is already well on her way to achieving her goal of running the equivalent distance of London to Paris, 345 km all in support of the JTYAF.

We are extremely grateful to all the team at Mags4Dorset for a fabulous year of support. They selected the JTYAF as their ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2019 and gave us our very own column in both Mags4Dorset and the Viewpoint magazine.

Our supporters take on all manner of crazy challenges to raise funds for John’s Foundation and Paul Hartley is no exception

Our biggest  event of the year is our VIP Hospitality Day at the Bournemouth Air Festival and this year’s event was a huge success raising more than £3000 for the JTYAF.

We had two teams for this year’s Dorset Plane Pull and they pulled a Boeing 737 weighing in at 35,500Kg 50 metres against the clock and battling it out against 35 other teams too.

We were delighted to be the recipient charity for a Ferndown Rotary Ascot Ladies Day Event which was a huge success. 

The John Thornton Pram Race was a fantastic event and the teams this year showed a great sense of fun and imagination with their prams and fancy dress.
