Congratulations and huge thanks, to all the Coastal Tabbers who took part in the 15 miler along the Jurassic Coast on Saturday 11th June. Everyone completed the course and arrived at the Royal Marines Memorial on the cliff top at Emmets Hill, to lay a poppy in memory of fallen.

Huge thanks to Paul for organising our 3rd JTYAF Fly Fishing Event and raising an amazing £430 in the process!

Congratulations to Daniel for completing the tough 25 Km Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge to raise funds for John’s Foundation. He absolutely smashed his challenge and proved to be a champion fundraiser in the process achieving an incredible £660 in sponsorship.

Paul’s a bit of a fundraising pro now and his 5th Curry Night raised an incredible £786!! Most importantly it was a truly fabulous evening and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We can’t thank Emily enough for organising our 2nd Christmas Bingo night at the Cumberland Hotel. It was a great event and our friend Jason Dean made sure it was a full evening of entertainment. It was definitely Bingo with a difference.

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) was honoured to be selected as ‘Charity of the Year’ by all three Captains at Crane Valley Golf Club and due to Covid it was a partnership which lasted for two years. The charity was delighted to receive a £5000 donation in 2020 and was recently awarded an incredible £7040 for 2021, taking the total raised to a staggering £12,040!

We would like to thank FWB Park Brown, Matthew Quinn and the legendery Jaco van Gass for their generous support of John’s Foundation.

We were delighted when Jamie chose the JTYAF as his recipient charity for the Bournemouth Half Marathon. He not only smashed the 13.1 miles but smashed his fundraising target too. He aimed to achieve £750 in sponsorship and was amazed to raise an incredible £960!

We’re so grateful to the students at Ferndown Upper School for their continued support. We were delighted to receive a cheque for £76.30 from Year 10. The proceeds from their relay event.

Jade is a great friend of the JTYAF and is taking part in the London Marathon in support of John’s Foundation.

We had a great response to our Aston Martin Driving Experience Raffle which raised £500 for the JTYAF. Congratulations to Bryan who had winning ticket number 146 and is delighted with his prize.

We would like to thank all the team members of the Saxon Strainers & Anytime Fitness Christchurch, Go Ape Moors Valley and JK House Training Centre for taking part in this years Plane Pull. Not forgetting our good friend, the Stig, who has been supporting the JTYAF at the Plane Pull since it began.

At the JTYAF VIP Hospitality Day at the Bournemouth Air Festival we were delighted to be able to offer our guests some amazing prizes.

Our biggest event of the year is our VIP Hospitality Day at the Bournemouth Air Festival and it was so good to get back to it after all the Covid restrictions.

The Coastal Tab organised by Keiron and his team at JK House Training was a great success and raised an incredible £2,200!

Huge thanks to all the staff and residents at Amberwood House Care Home in Ferndown who have selected the JTYAF as the recipient charity for their fundraising. We were delighted to receive a very generous donation of more than £280 and during such difficult times we couldn’t be more grateful.
